The Betway Stephen Appiah Cup- A football gala, organized by leading online sports betting company Betway Ghana, saw eight (8) teams from Chorkor, James Town and its environs competing for cash prizes, bragging rights and other souvenirs.
The Betway Stephen Appiah Cup was the first ever tournament organized by betway in honour of the Ghanaian football legend, Stephen Appiah. Many fans and admirers of the former Black Stars Captain turned out to showcase their support and admiration.
An elated Stephen Appiah commented on how he had started his football career playing on the same pitches in the Chorkor community. He highlighted how his recently announced collaboration with Betway was geared towards the continuous development of sports in Ghana and provision of opportunities for both players on the Betway platform and aspiring footballers through activities like the Betway Talent Search.
